We had a
doctor appointment Monday and everything is looking great. My blood pressure is good. I’ve gained 10 pounds….not a fun part. Her heartbeat is 152. Everything is going great here! We are excited for our next visit which is
June 6 because we get to have another sonogram and see baby Kolbi again. This will be the icing on the cake, ensuring
to Jason that she is in fact a girl and has not grown body parts since the last
time we saw her. She should be so much
more developed now, I can’t wait to get to see her again.
We had a
great day in KC on Monday. I took the
whole day off so Jason and I did some shopping we needed to get done and ate at
Buffalo Wild Wings, one of our favorite places that we miss dearly, for
lunch. It was nice to spend the day out
together. We then hung out in Brandi
Dixon’s driveway for 30 minutes which is where my picture for the week comes
from. I put out a missing person on her
on Facebook with this picture showing her home and asking if anyone had seen
her. She was upstairs napping!! Jason
threw rocks at her window. She finally
woke up and let us in so it was great to visit with her as well.
We have
started getting gifts as well as buying things ourselves for this little
girl. I think everyone is getting
excited. We are getting close to halfway
there. It’s gone by pretty fast so
far. Every time we go to the doctor and
hear her little heartbeat it just amazes me that there is something wonderful
in there and that she will be with us in just under 5 months. I can’t wait!
I’m late
on the blog again this week. Oh well, I’ll
try to get on top of this thing one day.
How many weeks? 16 (and 6 days)
Gender: Girl
Size of baby: 4.6 in, about the size of an avocado
Weight of baby: about 3.5 oz She’s
getting bigger! An ounce a week.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I’m very happy. The weather has been beautiful and school is
wrapping up. I’m still tired after a day
at school and sometimes mad for no reason or not a very good reason anyway but
for the most part I’m great!
Sleep: Dreaming….. Sleeping great. If I sleep in a position she doesn’t like I
can feel something in there moving around.
Stretch marks? Not yet…….
Maternity clothes? No but starting to build my collection. I know it’s coming soon. One day the pants just aren’t going to go
over my butt any more…I can feel it getting close!
Favorite thing this week: Shopping day with the husband. Beautiful weather. MAP testing with the students at school. I scrambled 5 dozen eggs this morning before
school for breakfast burritos at morning snack time. I think it’s fun though. When I put a lot of effort into it they put
it in their testing. We get to do
outside projects the rest of the afternoon.
Yesterday they had sidewalk chalk contests where they each had a square
and had to decorate it with the theme of saving our planet. The top three get a pop at lunch. We also painted a sign outside and are planting
flowers and picking up trash. Such a fun
week.
I've got to spend quite a bit of time with my nephew lately. He's absolutely adorable. I love him so much. I hope my baby turns out half as good as he is!
Movement?
I think so. I haven’t had
anything major happen like a kick that I could tell was a serious movement but
if I get too far over on my stomach in bed she is too smooshed and I can feel
her. When they took her heartbeat you
could barely hear it because she was moving around so much in there.
Food Cravings? Mexican, spicy food.
Still drink lots of milk and eat a ton of cereal. Granny Smith Apples, Jason buys me those all
the time. I can eat like 3 in a setting.
Symptoms: Getting fat J….I literally don’t feel anything. Never been sick, I can eat anything, do
anything, no heartburn. My belly, legs
and arms are fat and that’s it. I have
to remind myself I’m pregnant so I don’t get depressed.
Labor signs? Nope
Anything make you sick? Nothing
Miss anything? Margaritas on Cinco De Mayo
Looking forward to anything? Graduation this weekend and next weekend. Memorial Weekend. May 30th is my teacher work day
and then school will be out. I’m ready
for summer, to move. I’ve got 2 field
trips coming up with my students in the next two weeks.
